PHU QUY EXPRESS 02 HIGH-SPEED FERRY LAUNCHES HO CHI MINH CITY – CON DAO ROUTE
On June 1, 2026, the official inauguration ceremony of PHU QUY EXPRESS 02 took place, marking the arrival of one of Vietnam’s most modern trimaran high-speed ferries on the Ho Chi Minh City – Con Dao route. Commercial operations officially commenced on June 6, 2026, providing travelers with a new, fast, and convenient transportation option to Con Dao Island.
PHU QUY EXPRESS 02 features a premium aluminum trimaran design, measuring 51.82 meters in length and 9.80 meters in width, powered by a 4,190 kW engine system. The vessel operates at a cruising speed of 30 knots and accommodates up to 507 passengers. With a travel time of approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes, the ferry offers a smooth and efficient journey between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao. Designed to withstand sea conditions up to wave levels 7–8, the vessel delivers enhanced stability and passenger comfort.

One of the ferry’s key highlights is its modern onboard facilities, including VIP seats, Economy Sleeper Berths, and VIP Sleeper Berths, allowing passengers to relax comfortably throughout the voyage while minimizing seasickness. Additional amenities include air conditioning, entertainment screens, onboard Wi-Fi (subject to signal availability), spacious outdoor decks, and clean, well-maintained interiors.
The official sailing schedule for June and July 2026 has now been released, and ticket bookings are open. Ticket fares vary according to seating and berth categories, providing flexible options to suit different travel preferences and budgets. Due to strong demand, especially during weekends and the summer travel season, passengers are encouraged to book early to secure their preferred departure dates and accommodations.
